Real-time video communication and collaboration technology
VSee is a visual collaboration software company originating from human-computer interaction research at Stanford University. Based on a breakthrough in compression and networking, VSee enables large scale deployment with no infrastructure. The company’s technology supports high quality 1-to-1 and group video conferencing over the Internet. Its bandwidth requirements range from 80 to 120kbps while more conventional technology requires ~350-400 kbps. Its bandwidth requirements are roughly equivalent to what Skype requires for voice communications. The technology includes a lip-syncing algorithm to deal with network latency. In addition, the technology is secure and compliant with FIPS 140-2.
