Qynergy is a high technology portable power solutions company, founded in 2001, and located in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Qynergy provides innovative portable power solutions, with particular focus on integrated hybrids of radioisotope-fueled energy cells, photovoltaics, energy-harvesting systems, and advanced lithium batteries.
Qynergy has become the world leader in the use of radiation-resistant semiconductor material to convert beta particle energy into electricity. Its proprietary QynCell™ technology enables long life, portable, compact, high-energy density electrical power capabilities. Currently, Qynergy is performing product development and research services for the Air Force Research Laboratory, Kirtland AFB, NM, and an aerospace company.
Qynergy has core competencies in nuclear energy, materials science, modeling and simulation, systems engineering, electronics design, and test and evaluation. The emphasis is on system engineering, scaleable prototyping, and production readiness. Qynergy’s Chief Executive Officer, Mike Hollis, is leading diversification efforts that leverage the company’s specialized power solutions capabilities to address sensing and microsystems applications for government and commercial customers.
