Short Job Description

DASH is seeking a business development leader who will be able to craft a go-to-market plan, influence the product roadmap for the line of DASH processors, and stand up a larger team to execute on these plans. This role requires expertise in the architecture and solution stack of embedded processors or SoCs and is expected to have experience in a variety of roles throughout the IC industry. As such, the ideal candidate has experience within startups raising rounds and performing in the roles of business development, product management, and product marketing.

This is a remote, short-term contract position lasting 6-10 months with the potential to grow into a full-time C-Suite role.

OpenROAD

Company Description 

OpenROAD is open-source software that generates an ASIC layout directly from HDL automatically in under 24 hours. Developed by researchers at UC San Diego VLSI CAD Laboratory, OpenROAD provides the layout design for SOCs, packages, and PCBs with no power-performance-area loss and up to 12nm tapeouts, utilizing extreme partitioning, parallel processing, and machine learning.  

Short Job Description 

OpenROAD is looking to spin out into their own company or foundation; as such, they are looking for someone who can evaluate potential legal and organizational structures to commercialize their technology. The scope of the work includes: market identification and prioritization, competitive analysis, developing a pitch deck, discovering the voice of the customer though primary and secondary market analysis, and IP analysis and strategy. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge in the EDA industry and a background in product management and product marketing. Experience in the development and sales of semiconductor/EDA technologies especially experience working with technology-focused foundations such as RISC-V or the CHIPS Alliance, is highly desirable. Preference will be for individuals open to joining the team in the future as a co-founder and potentially business lead.  Location can be remote, as long as candidates are open to appropriate regular travel to meet with the founders in San Diego.  

Halmos

Halmos is addressing the problem of silent data corruption caused by unreliable hardware. Increasingly complex systems have resulted in an increase in functional and electrical bugs where the only symptom is erroneous computation. Halmos efficiently detects and predicts these silent failures in the design phase. Quickly identifying and isolating faults allows companies to build more resilient hardware and will enable the semiconductor industry to fundamentally redefine how chips are designed with a verification-first approach that ensures designs are provably correct and secure.

Halmos is seeking a head of business development who will partner with the founding team to identify opportunities to commercialize the technology into specific verticals. This person must build use cases for Halmos’ technology, identify revenue and licensing opportunities, cultivate and grow partner relationships, and ensure integration of product and business goals. Halmos is seeking someone with experience leading business development discussions with hyperscalers and enterprise customers, someone who has experience selling to government agencies, and someone who has experience with raising VC rounds. Halmos is based in Silicon Valley. Remote working combined with travel to Halmos can be contemplated as long as effective.

Applying AI techniques to network management, Raytheon BBN has been able to automatically classify traffic anywhere in the network, enabling enterprises to prioritize, manipulate flows, and meet high quality of service metrics.

Short Job Description

This position will embed with the development team to accelerate and catalyze the transition of the technology by developing a go to market strategy, identify high level product concepts and a unique value proposition for the technology, structure a minimal viable product (MVP) development plan and roadmap, and be a strategic partner when demoing the technology to early adopters. Prior experience as a technology entrepreneur or technology/business leader within an internet service provider, content delivery network, or cloud computing organization will be beneficial to the role.

The role requires a relevant technical degree in Software Engineering, Networking & Communications, and/or MBA as well as knowledge of the current state of the art in traffic engineering for large internet service providers and content delivery networks. This role will be hired through a consulting agreement with Raytheon BBN which will require weekly performance and meetings with the team. Remote work is acceptable for this position. More details about the consulting arrangement will be provided during the initial interview phase.
