SUBMIT A BUSINESS PLAN
If you are developing a cutting-edge technology in one of our areas of focus, we want to hear from you.
Once we receive a complete proposal, we do a preliminary review and if we believe your technology could meet our needs, we assign analysts from our business and technical teams to review your company and assess your technology, including its potential to address challenges in the intelligence community. We may also review the proposal with our government partners if we believe they may be interested.
We have an automated process to ensure each submission can be reviewed in a timely manner, and we have determined that submitting your proposal through our website is the quickest way for us to start the process. Regular mail and email submissions must be entered into our system by hand and thus take longer to process, which could significantly delay review of your submission. For this reason, we strongly encourage a web submission as the initial step in engaging with IQT.
IQT will contact you either by e-mail, telephone, or mail only if we are interested in your proposal. Please make sure to provide accurate contact information when making your submission.
Once we have received your complete proposal, we will assess it for fit with our technology focus areas and priorities and mission. We review hundreds of plans each year, and this initial assessment may take weeks. If we determine that there is an appropriate fit, we will then proceed with a more detailed analysis to determine if it is appropriate for us to pursue a relationship. Given how many plans are being assessed at any one time and the rigorous due diligence we perform, this part of the process can take considerably longer. Please remember: you will only be contacted if we determine it is appropriate for us to pursue a relationship.
We focus on commercial technologies and for this reason we do not handle any proposals that require security clearances; you should not submit classified information.
If after our initial assessment of your proposal documents, we determine your technology meets our and the intelligence community’s needs, we may request a meeting with your company. To save your time and ours, we take meetings only when our initial assessment reveals a likely match for the interests of IQT and our government customers.
IQT is a prolific, global investor. We look for companies whose technologies have both high national security impact and the potential for commercial success. These companies exist and are emerging every day across the world.
While most of IQT’s investments are in U.S.-based startup companies, IQT has invested in 30-plus startups based in the UK, Europe, and Asia Pacific.
In furtherance of our mission, we may share information you submit with the intelligence community and others in the U.S. Government if we think they may be interested in your technology. This might include U.S. Government agencies (or their designees) that are exploring or implementing an IQT like approach and are interested in technologies that are submitted or referred to us. IQT or the Government agencies we work with may need to share the information with contractors to help them evaluate proposals. As noted on our website, we ask that you only submit information that you are comfortable having shared within the government.
We receive proposals from thousands of great companies that have interesting technology with the potential to serve our country. Unfortunately, we are a small firm with a highly targeted mission and so must focus our efforts and our relationships to those that are the closest fit with national security priorities. Because of these limitations, we do not provide introductions to the CIA or other governmental bodies.
If you feel that your company’s technology has developed into a different stage since your previous proposal, we encourage you to submit the appropriate complete submission to us again. We are always willing and eager to review submissions that have a potential for investment.
Please fill out the form based on your organization’s headquarter information.
