Skydio

Skydio is America’s leading manufacturer of autonomous drones and is used in every branch of the Department of Defense (DoD) and within the intelligence community, as well as by more than 200 public safety agencies. Its drones, which are designed, assembled, and supported in the US, are also used by allies such as the UK’s Ministry of Defence.

IQT connected with the company soon after it was founded in 2014 and facilitated its engagement on a work program with multiple government partners that enhanced its drones for DoD certification and saw it go on to win multiple large DoD contracts. The company offers a robust, made-in-the-US alternative to China’s DJI drones and its commercial success has seen it become a “unicorn” valued at more than $2 billion.
