Atlas Wearables proudly announces that it has entered a strategic investment and technology development agreement with In-Q-Tel (IQT), the investment firm that identifies innovative technology solutions to support the missions of the U.S. Intelligence Community.
Atlas Wearables is the creator of the world’s first true activity tracker for people who exercise and coach. The consumer device, coupled with sophisticated machine learning and analytics, is currently capable of tracking over 50 specific activities and other actionable metrics. Atlas’ flagship product, the Atlas Wristband, identifies exercises, counts reps, monitors calories and heart-rate and evaluates form, thereby allowing users to take control of their workout routine.
Peter Li, founder and CEO of Atlas, said, “From day one our goal has been to create industry-changing products that enable athletes and fitness professionals to effortlessly optimize workout routines, monitor progress, and effectively reach training goals. Our team is immensely proud of the IQT relationship and we are laser focused on creating technology that changes the game.”
According to Megan Anderson, Vice President of Field Deployable Technologies at IQT, “After extensive analysis and diligence, we are confident that Atlas has built a platform that can deliver a powerful and unique wearable experience. We’re looking forward to working with Atlas as it continues development of this next generation wearable technology.”
The Atlas Wristband enables athletes and trainers to focus their time and resources on maximizing their workouts by removing the tedious complexities of logging entire workouts, analyzing scores of data, and suggesting optimal routines.
Mike Kasparian, CTO and co-founder adds, “The technology in the Atlas Wristband not only reduces the amount of friction and effort from the user but also adds an incredible amount of value to workout and training regimens.”
The partnership with IQT will allow Atlas to further build on the mission of seamless workout experiences.
